While many different online platforms are live streaming the 2021 World Series, there’s only one that you’ll be able to watch for free. If you’re an MLB fan traveling or residing outside of the United States, you can access live Fall Classic baseball as well — you’ll just need a VPN.
Follow this step-by-step guide to get to live streaming the World Series on Hulu + Live TV right away, from anywhere in the world:
- Register for a quality VPN. For live streaming sports, we recommend ExpressVPN.
- Download the software onto your device.
- Open the VPN app and log into the account you created at registration.
- Set your VPN to a server in the USA. Keep the VPN running.
- Go to Hulu.com and sign up for their free, seven-day trial. You’ll need the Hulu + Live TV plan to live stream the World Series. Hulu accepts PayPal and credit cards.
- Cancel before the seven-day trial ends, and you won’t be charged. Just remember it’s a seven-game series, so time it right!
There are plenty of other online avenues where you can stream the 2021 MLB World Series. If you want to find out more about how you can use a VPN to access them, read our full article below.
Then there were two! The Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros will go head-to-head at the 2021 MLB World Series in a best-of-seven-game matchup. Though the Braves have made four consecutive playoff appearances since 2018, it’s their first run at the World Series since 1999. Their last championship win was back in 1995. The Astros have been more active in the Fall Classic in recent years and are coming off a 2017 World Series win and 2019 appearance.
Game 1 starts on Tuesday at 8:10 pm (ET), with Houston hosting Atlanta.
If you’re in the United States, you can watch World Series baseball by simply slapping an old-school antenna on your television and roping in the free FOX broadcast signal. But if you’re a cord-cutter, traveling, or living abroad, you’re probably looking for a live online stream of the 2021 Fall Classic.
By taking advantage of some free trials and money-back guarantees and paying attention to your sign-up timing, you can watch the entire 2021 World Series for free. In the full article below, we’ll break down how to stream the World Series for free as well as other online ways to access MLB’s championship from anywhere in the world.
Live Stream the 2021 MLB World Series for Free Online
If you want to live stream the Braves vs. Astros 2021 World Series for free from outside the United States, you’ll need good timing and two things:
- A good VPN: Our top VPN picks offer free trials and/or money-back guarantees, giving you a way to test the service before committing.
- A free seven-day trial for a Hulu + Live TV subscription: You can also cancel this at any time.
If you’re in the United States and looking for a cord-cutting way to watch Fall Classic baseball, you can skip the VPN. But if you’re not physically located in the US, you’ll need a digital tool to access American content.
A VPN changes your IP address to a country that isn’t geo-restricting particular content. Hulu, for example, is only available within American borders. If you try to access it from Europe, you won’t be able to watch the World Series via the platform. Connect to a VPN’s server in the US, however, and you’ll be accessing the website from an American IP address — which unblocks Hulu. Now you can sign up and register for an account, or log into your own.
Want to watch the World Series for free? Follow this quick step-by-step guide:
A step-by-step guide to watching the 2021 MLB World Series for free
- Sign up for a VPN that’s well-known for sports streaming. When it comes to using American servers to stream live sports, we recommend ExpressVPN. ExpressVPN provides top speeds and a number of high-quality US servers you can connect to.
- Once you’ve registered, download the VPN software to your device.
- Log in with the credentials you created at sign-up.
- Connect to any server you choose in the United States. Due to broadcasting blackout restrictions in major league baseball, it’s best to avoid connecting to a Houston or Atlanta server, since you might run into issues in those cities. We recommend connecting to ExpressVPN’s New York server. Keep the VPN running in the background.
- Go to Hulu.com and sign up for their free seven-day trial of Hulu + Live TV.
- Find the right MLB World Series stream on Hulu and enjoy the games!
- Before your seven-day trial is up, make sure to cancel your Hulu subscription, or you’ll have a monthly paid subscription with Hulu.
Remember that it’s a best of seven-game series. If the World Series goes the distance, you’ll want to watch them all. So if you don’t want to pay for the monthly subscription of Hulu, you’ll need to time it so you can cancel before the regular subscription kicks in.

Atlanta Braves vs. the Houston Astros: What to Expect
The Houston Astros will be returning to the World Series for the third time in five years and are slight favorites over the Atlanta Braves. Though injury and unfortunate circumstances have plagued the Braves this year, their roster of young and talented players has really stepped up during the 2021 season.
Trade Deadline acquisition Joc Peterson has given an MVP-worthy postseason performance with a run of clutch pinch-hit homers. Freddie Freeman, the reigning National League MVP, remains as solid as ever hitting .300 with 31 home runs and 83 RBIs.
This matchup will renew a rivalry between the Astros and Braves before the former left for the American League in 2013. The two teams met five times between 1997 and 2005 at the National League Division Series. Though the Astros have had a hard time shaking the sign-stealing cheating scandal that led them to their 2017 championship, they certainly are the toughest team to beat in the American League. Shortstop Carlos Correa has had a standout performance this year, hitting .279 with 34 doubles, 26 home runs, and 92 RBIs.
