It may not be the Pacquiao-Spence fight that fans had hoped for, but it’s still one that’s bound to be electric.
Now that an eye injury has forced Errol Spence, Jr. to back out of his fight with 42-year-old boxer Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KOs), the upcoming face-off has become a WBA welterweight championship fight instead: one where Pacquiao takes a shot at the title stripped from him by the WBA after his 20-month absence from the ring.
Taking it back from 35-year-old Cuban Yordenis Ugas (26-4, 12 KOs) this Saturday night August 21 in Las Vegas will be no easy feat for the Filipino superstar, which is why everyone is tuning in.
In the United States, Fox Sports holds the rights to this boxing match, and it comes with a $74.99 pay-per-view (PPV) price tag. But in Great Britain, Sky Sports has picked up the broadcast and is showing it non-PPV. If you’re not physically in the UK, how do you access this stream?
Even if you don’t have access to Sky Sports, we’ll show you how to live stream Pacquiao vs. Ugas for a fraction of the cost by using a VPN.
How to Live Stream Manny Pacquiao vs. Yordenis Ugas: No PPV
If you’re in the United States, you have to use Fox Sports pay-per-view to watch the Pacquiao-Ugas matchup. That will run you $74.99, and you’ll need to be watching within the United States.
But after Spence was forced to back out of the fight, Sky Sports has been able to take on the broadcast rights and will be showing the fight without the extra PPV fee.
If you don’t have a subscription and want to access Sky Sports Action, you’ll need this one-two combination:

- Get a NOW TV One Day Pass for Sky Sports for £9.98 (about $14 USD): This gives you 24-hour access to huge events on Sky Sports without having to commit to a contract.

How to Live Stream Manny Pacquiao vs. Yordenis Ugas Worldwide
We think that Sky Sports is the most surefire and low-cost way to watch the Pacquiao-Yordenis fight. But we’ve also come up with a few other ways. Since these are either pricey, or we can’t guarantee they’ll work, we’ve put them as secondary methods. But once you’ve got your VPN, feel free to try them out. Here’s our roundup below:
| Service Provider | Comments |
|---|---|
| Fox Sports (USA) | If you want to access the USA’s pay-per-view broadcast of the Pacquiao-Yordenis bout, you must connect your VPN to an American server. This stream is only available within the US. Since they accept Paypal, it is pretty simple to access and pay, though it’s $74.99 — which we understand not all fight fans can afford. |
| Upstream.ph via GMovies.ph (Philippines) | Upstream.ph is a streaming service in the Philippines that provides a PPV live stream for a fraction of the price: 400 PHP, the equivalent of about $8 USD. You have to connect your VPN to a Philippines server and then you can book your slot through GMovies.ph. You have to register your phone number, though they accept international numbers. Though English is widely spoken in the Philippines, and the site is in English, there’s no guarantee the fight won’t be in Filipino. |
| CNN Philippines (Philippines) | Manny Pacquiao is a national hero (and also a senator) in the Philippines, so they usually broadcast his fights for free within the country. While it’s easy to simply flip on a TV (free TV channel 9, Cignal channel 10, Sky Cable channel 14, GMA7, and TV5) to watch the fight in any bar, restaurant, or home in the Philippines, it’s not so easy to find a live stream without a subscription. You can try the live stream of CNN Philippines, but since it’s available even without a VPN, we’re not sure it will work. |
