How to Watch the MotoGP German Grand Prix 2023 From Anywhere for Free

Did you know that some lucky MotoGP fans can access free live streams of MotoGP races? In some regions, there are broadcasters that offer free live streams. For example, in Austria, fans can tune into Servus TV live streams without paying a dime. You can tune into this live stream too, but you might hit a snag if you’re outside the country.

Websites like Servus TV use geo-blocking restrictions to prevent users from accessing their streams abroad. The only way to access their free live stream is by being within Austrian or German borders.

But there’s a way to bypass these restrictions. All you need is the help of a virtual private network (VPN). By using Surfshark VPN, we were able to change our IP address, which made it appear as if we were accessing the website from Austria.

We’ll show you how you can do it as well.

Step-by-step guide: Watch MotoGP Germany for free from anywhere

  1. Choose Surfshark VPN. Our team spent the first few MotoGP races of the season testing out different VPN providers. Surfshark was by far our favorite, thanks to their Austrian servers’ fast and reliable connections. That means you get the best quality on your stream with no drops in image quality and limited buffering.
  2. Download the app and create your account. Everyone has their preferred streaming devices — between iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows, Surfshark has got you covered with an excellently built app for each major operating system.

Servus TV is our favorite streaming platform for watching MotoGP races, but it’s not the only option available! Our team took the time to try out different live streams during the earlier races this season — we’ve put the best streaming options in a list down below.

Make sure to connect your VPN to a server in the broadcaster’s location to bypass any geo-blocking restrictions. There are one or two streaming websites that require you to create an account. Just keep this in mind so you don’t miss out on any of the action while going through the process.

If you want to stream the Grand Prix in English, you’re going to need a premium streaming service. We recommend using Sling TV for reliable and high-quality MotoGP streams with English commentary.

2023 MotoGP Germany: What to Expect

Mugello painted the scene for a fierce battle between two home track heroes — Francesco Bagnaia and Marco Bezzecchi. Separated by just one point going into the Italian Grand Prix, both were eager to put on a display in front of their adoring home fans.

It was Pecco Bagnaia who secured pole position while Bezzecchi could only manage 7th. In the Sprint, Bagnaia charged ahead, momentarily losing the lead on lap 2 due to sudden rainfall. However, in the end, he managed to take his third Sprint win of the season, and Bezzecchi finished in a close second place.

In the Grand Prix, Bagnaia once again made a dash for it as he pulled away in the lead while Bezzecchi struggled to work his way through the field.

Marc Marquez, who started in second place, crashed on lap seven — the eight-time World Champion still hasn’t finished a race since Malaysia last season, on October 23, 2022. His brother, Alex Marquez, crashed out of the podium position shortly afterward in what ended up being a horrible day for the Spaniards.

Bagnaia comfortably won the Grand Prix to take back-to-back victories. Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco finished second and third, respectively, replicating their Grand Prix results from last weekend’s French Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, the main championship rival Bezzecchi could only manage 8th place, so it’s back to the drawing board for him. But he might get a fantastic opportunity this weekend.

The Sachsenring is a tight and twisty track, forcing the riders to slower overall speeds. This creates plenty of overtaking opportunities which should give Bezzecchi a chance. On top of that, the Ducati is stronger on high-speed circuits, so this is the prime venue for Bagnaia’s rivals to take advantage.

An ever-evolving title fight

The 2023 title fight is becoming more and more interesting with every passing round. With the Sprint races giving riders plenty of opportunities on Saturdays, riders are trying to maximize their points as much as possible.

The Prima Pramac riders have now brought themselves into contention as they bagged a massive amount of points in France and Italy. Jorge Martin has now emerged as another title contender, just 3 points behind Bezzecchi. But they’re going to need to stop Bagnaia before he builds more on his already commanding championship lead.

Brad Binder is still hanging on in the title fight, and Johann Zarco is also closing in on the top of the standings.

Consistency is key

The Prima Pramac riders have proven that you don’t necessarily need to be winning. You just need to be consistent.

Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco finished on the podium two races in a row, and now they’re suddenly in the title fight. Martin also won the Sprint in France and finished third in the Sprint at Mugello.

Brad Binder is another rider who’s kept his championship hopes alive with consistency. He’s been hanging around the top 4 places in the standings since the start of the season by scoring points when it matters most.

Will the Sachsenring provide the opportunity for anyone to catch up to Bagnaia? Can Bezzecchi bounce back? Will Martin’s fine run of form continue? We’ll find out on Sunday!
