How to Watch the Italian MotoGP 2023 Anywhere for Free
In some regions around the world, you can tune into free broadcasts of MotoGP races. Austria is one of those regions, as Servus TV users can live stream every MotoGP session for free.
There is a small roadblock, though: so-called geo-blocking restrictions. You can only access the Servus TV live streams if you’re within Austrian (or German) borders. If you’re not in the correct region, you’ll be blocked from accessing the stream.
Luckily though, there’s a handy cybersecurity tool that can solve this problem for you — a virtual private network (VPN). Streaming websites use your IP address to determine where you’re accessing them from. But, by using a VPN, you can change your IP address to one in another country and spoof your device’s location.
We used Surfshark VPN to switch over to an Austrian IP address and gain access to the live stream for free.
It might sound difficult, but it’s much simpler than you expect! Follow our quick walkthrough below.
Step-by-step guide: Watch MotoGP Italy for free from anywhere
- Choose Surfshark VPN. Our team has used Surfshark quite a bit to stream MotoGP races with Servus TV. When connecting to their servers in Austria, we’ve always experienced fast and stable connections, high-quality feeds, and no drops or disconnects. If you’re looking for an ace sports streaming VPN, Surfshark makes the grade.
- Create your own account and download the app. Whether you prefer watching on iOS, Android, Mac, or Windows, Surfshark has an app available for you.

- Log in to the app. Use the same login credentials that you created in the previous step.

- Enjoy a thrilling race from Mugello!
2023 MotoGP Italian Grand Prix Free Streams
While Servus TV is our favorite option for free MotoGP streams, it’s not the only one available. There are several other options you can choose from if you want to tune into the premier motorcycle racing class for free.
You just need to make sure that you connect your VPN to a server in the broadcaster’s country to bypass geo-blocking restrictions. There might be one or two streaming services that ask you to create an account — keep that in mind so that you don’t miss the start of the race while waiting for your account to activate!
Unfortunately, there aren’t any free streams with English commentary. If you want to watch the race with the U.S. broadcaster, you’re going to need a premium package from Sling TV.

2023 MotoGP Italy: What to Expect
VR46 Racing’s Marco Bezzecchi took victory at a chaotic French Grand Prix nearly a month ago. After such a long break, everyone is eager to get back on track this weekend!
The Prima Pramac pair of Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco finished the race in second and third. It was a thrilling race, but it was just the cherry on top of an exciting weekend overall. Jorge Martin took victory in the Sprint on Saturday, taking home a big bag of points from the French Grand Prix. Brad Binder finished the Sprint in second, with Francesco Bagnaia finishing in third.
In the big race, championship leader Bagnaia crashed out early on after attempting a risky move on Maverick Vinales. Tempers flared as the two riders had to be separated from one another in the gravel trap. Bagnaia was kicking himself after missing out on another potential 25 points.
Title Race Shifting into High Gear
The chaotic French Grand Prix brings Bezzecchi right up behind Bagnaia in the championship — the two are only separated by one point now. They might be ahead in the standings, but they’re not running away with the title by any means!
Brad Binder is proving that consistency is key as he hangs onto third place in the standings. He’s just 12 points behind Bezzecchi in second place. Behind him, Jorge Martin is just trailing by one point after his massive points haul at Le Mans.
At the moment, it’s looking like a four horse race for the title. But the season is still long, and anything can happen!
Ready for Mugello?
Two Italians. Two Ducatis. Just one point between them…
It’s a home race for both of these riders, and they’re both in fight mode. If the two of them end up near each other on the circuit, we’re in for a titanic battle. The way this season has been going, we’re sure to see a lot more action between Bagnaia and Bezzecchi — but who will come off best?
Remember, Binder and Martin are waiting in the wings to snatch the lead of the championship as soon as someone makes a mistake!
To make things even more interesting, the weather forecast is predicting some rain for Sunday afternoon between 1:00 and 5:00 PM local time.
Will we see more thrills and spills in Italy? Can the Italians win their home race? We’ll find out on Sunday!
