Cybersecurity brand Norton unveiled a redesigned version of its password manager on Thursday, Oct. 19. Norton also launched a new feature called Private Email for Norton AntiTrack on Windows PCs.
The new feature for Norton AntiTrack — Private Email — masks users’ email addresses so they cannot be tracked on the web. It also removes hidden trackers usually found in emails that give away personal information such as the sender’s location, device usage data, and shopping behaviors.
In a blog post introducing AntiTrack in 2021, Norton described it as “a highly sophisticated tracking protection product, capable of detecting and blocking the most-advanced online tracking known to date.”

Norton to Warn Users of Password Vulnerabilities
Norton’s latest upgrade to its password manager enhances its ability to actively track and inform users about potential password vulnerabilities.
“Norton Password Manager has been rebuilt with improvements to password security and privacy and redesigned to provide a seamless, intuitive customer experience,” Norton said.
The password manager will notify users if they need to change their vault password. It will conduct an automatic password strength assessment and alert users if they need a “more complex and difficult to track” password.
Norton will also monitor the dark web for leaked passwords and notify users if their passwords are compromised.
Apart from the security upgrades, Norton has changed its password manager interface. It has a new, intuitive look and offers easy access to its most-used features. This includes its auto-filling and credential-saving options that pop up as users browse the web.
