How to Watch Spurs vs. Chelsea (Outside the US or UK)
SlingTV and Peacock are our favorite broadcasters for watching Premier League matches online. Keep in mind that these platforms are only available within the United States. If you don’t have an American IP address, you’ll be met with geo-blocking restrictions that will prevent you from accessing live streams.
However, you can use a virtual private network (VPN) to change your IP address. This allows you to access any Premier League live stream. All you need to do is connect to a server in the US. Once you’re connected, your internet traffic is routed through the server, making it appear as though you’re accessing the internet from within U.S. borders, and you’ll be granted access to the live stream.
If you want to watch Spurs vs. Chelsea (and other Premier League games) using a VPN, follow our step-by-step guide below.
1. Get a Surfshark subscription

If you’re traveling abroad, you will likely struggle to access your favorite streaming platforms like SlingTV. You’ll need to change your IP address by using a VPN to bypass geo-blocking restrictions. You can use a VPN to spoof your location and trick websites into thinking that your device is in another country.
Surfshark is our favorite VPN for sports streaming. Here’s why:
- More than 600 USA servers in 15 different cities
- Static IP addresses for streaming servers in New York and London
- Super fast, WireGuard-powered connection speeds
- 30-day money-back guarantee
Surfshark is also super easy to use, making it an excellent choice for beginners. Head over to the Surfshark website and create an account.
Choose a subscription (Surfshark has a 30-day money-back guarantee). Then download and install the VPN on the device you will use to stream the game. You can find the Surfshark app on all major app stores. It’s available for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android. If you want to take it a step further, you can even install Surfshark on your router or Smart TV.
With the app installed on your device, log into your account and connect to a server in the U.S. Make sure to stay connected to a U.S. server the entire time you’re watching the Premier League match, or else your stream will disconnect.

You’re good to go! Your VPN is all set up and ready for action. You can also check out some of Surfshark’s other features, primarily to keep your browsing activity private and secure. If you’re ready to start streaming right away, skip ahead to step two.
2. Choose a streaming platform and get a subscription
With your VPN ready to go, you’re going to need a good live-streaming platform to tune into. We recommend any one of the Premier League streaming platforms below:
- Peacock TV
- Sling TV
- YouTube TV
- FuboTV
- Hulu + Live TV
- DIRECTV STREAM
- Sky Sports (UK)
- Amazon Prime (UK)
Before you head over to the website, make sure your VPN is connected to a US server. Live streams often don’t work if you skip this step!
If the stream isn’t working, you can try using a different U.S. server, or you can try a different browser. Sometimes, you need to use a private window for the stream to work properly.

Here’s how you can watch the Spurs vs. Chelsea match using SlingTV:
- Connect to a US server using Surfshark.
- Head over to Sling TV. You need the Blue Package for Premier League.
- Head to NBC or USA Network for Premier League coverage.
- Find Spurs vs. Chelsea.
- Enjoy the action from an exciting London derby!

Spurs vs. Chelsea: What to Expect

Both Spurs and Chelsea are “Big 6” teams, but they haven’t necessarily been performing as such this season. Spurs have had a decent season, but it’s by no means their best performance. Chelsea, on the other hand, has had a nightmare season, despite massive investment from their new American owner Todd Boehly.
Tottenham Hotspur fights for fourth
Tottenham has been quietly confident this season. Their captain Harry Kane has been finding the net regularly enough to keep the Spurs going. However, the rest of the team has been relatively average. In their past five matches, Spurs have only lost twice. One of those was a 4-2 loss to Manchester City and a 4-1 loss to Leicester. They took victories against Manchester City, West Ham, and Fulham.
Thanks to their most recent victory, Spurs are now sitting in fourth place in the League table, which they managed to snatch off the struggling Newcastle team. They’re still seven points off the high-flying Manchester United, but a win will help to cement their position in the top four — something they desperately need if they want to qualify for the Champions League next season.
In recent matches, Emerson Royal has been the goalscorer for Spurs, scoring in two of the past five matches. Of course, Kane’s name is also on the scoresheet, but that’s to be expected from the British striker. Son has also been finding his feet recently after a difficult start to the 2022/2023 Premier League season.
Chelsea’s $600 million spend not paying off
There isn’t a ton of hope on the horizon for Chelsea fans. This season is a write-off. The Blues have just three wins in their past 15 Premier League matches. They’re currently sitting in 10th place in the table between Aston Villa and Brentford. They’re one of the weakest teams in the league currently. Their performances on the pitch have been shocking, with little to no attacking threat and a lackluster defensive display. It makes you wonder how long their still-fresh manager Graham Potter is going to last.
To make matters even worse, Chelsea is just coming off a massive splurge in the January transfer window. They spent nearly $350 million to bring in players like Enzo Fernandez, Mikhail Mydruk, and Benoit Badaishile, among several others. These players have shown up on the pitch, but we’re still waiting for the results to follow. Arguably their best signing has been on-loan player Joao Felix, who always looks like an attacking threat when he’s got the ball at his feet.
In the summer transfer window at the start of the 2022/2023 season, Chelsea also spent around $300 million, which brings their total spend for the season to over $600 million. They have spent more than any other team in the Premier League, but they must start making things work. Whether it’s the coach or the team chemistry, the Chelsea camp needs to find a solution quickly. There’s no way to predict which Chelsea team will come out to face Spurs on Sunday, but let’s hope it’s one that puts up a good fight and gives us an exciting match!
Can Chelsea salvage some points and dignity from a horror season? Or will Spurs seize a comfortable victory against an old rival? We’ll find out on Sunday afternoon!
